Resolution on Representation in Court - PARIS, JULY 01st, 2006.
Resolution: Improving patent litigation in Europe is a key issue for European patent attorneys and their clients. Patent litigation in Europe should be changed to bring improved legal and financial benefits to national economies and in particular to permit more efficient operation of the patent courts as well as reduction of costs to the parties involved. The efficiency and reputation of the European patent system are at stake in the global market. In this respect, CNIPA, at a meeting in Paris on 1st July 2006, approved the following resolution: “Registered IP Attorneys should be entitled to represent before all competent Courts in IP matters, subject to appropriate qualification.” |
